Can I do a tattoo business from a van, properly kitted out to a very high spec; trading only west midlands or coventry area? I need information around this type of potential business. I know a mobile tattoo van that operates on the isle of man. So this is going on. Thank you.

we would tend to say that it is not possible to run a tattoo business in the UK mainland in this way. Primarily because you would have to make sure to have the same toilets, hot running water, sterile rooms, etc. as a tattoo studio.

The best thing to do is to talk to your local environmental health board to find out if this is possible. The EHO has to inspect the van and certify whether it complies with the regulations, etc.
