Hi Ozzie, of course you can use the Cheyenne SOL Nova with different brands of needles. However, the SOL Nova just works with cartridges. You should take care that these always have a membrane and come from a trusted brand. We recommend using the TATSoul Envy Gen 2 cartridges and Barber DTS cartridges, as these have a great needle quality and undergo a high-standard quality control.
