Hi! I run a large tattoo studio… we are very busy and I’m trying to settle a debate. I supply everything in the shop, absolutely everything apart from their machines – they are on a flat rate which in my eyes is fair. If they earn over a certain amount they are charged 30% not on top of the flat rate. Do you think this is fair ?

Hi Adam, congratulations on your studio doing so well. We wrote an article on this topic, you can read it here.

In general, everyone should be happy with the conditions that have been agreed upon. If someone is not happy, you should talk to them and try to find solutions that are satisfactory for all parties. In the end, a good working atmosphere in your studio is the most important thing for you and your tattoo artists.
