Hi. With the Cheyenne Hawk pen machine do you have to use disposable grips when tattooing on people? I’m getting mixed advice so far… thank you for your time and expertise.

Hi Mathilde, first and foremost it is important that your tattoos are done under hygienic conditions. A disposable grip makes it easier to work hygienically because it is already sterilised and the machine bag can be clamped underneath very easily and quickly. Cheyenne introduced the D-Grips long after the HAWK PEN to make work easier for the artist. Of course, you can also wrap your machine hygienically without disposable grips, although this usually takes a little longer. Our article How To Set Up A Tattoo Machine can certainly give you some good ideas.
