I have been looking at purchasing a tattoo pen but as there is so many brands unsure what to go for , I am a all round tattooist , thick designs to super soft shading and colour packing , can someone give me some stats on the tattoo pens available for a strong hit

Hi Stewart, a Tattoo Pen is a good choice if you’re looking for an all-around machine. If you prefer a hard hitting machine, you should look for models with a stroke of 3.5mm or more. The Bishop WAND is an excellent, up-to-date machine that is available in different models. For your purposes, the WAND Packer, with a stroke of 4.0, is an excellent all-rounder machine with a powerful stroke, despite its distinct name.

The Cheyenne PEN also has a solid hit with a stroke of 3.5mm. If you want to switch between different hardnesses, Cheyenne’s SOL Nova Unlimited is a great choice, allowing you to switch between responsive and steady mode. It is also available with 3.5 and 4.0 mm stroke.
