As an apprentice in a studio I’m looking to go self employed, however it’s becoming increasingly difficult to gain insurance from anyone straight away. Can you reccomend how to gain insurance as an apprentice tattoo artist and body piercer / companies to reach out to about insurance?

Hi Amada, the best thing to do is to ask your tutor which insurance company they work with or your network what their experience is with different insurers. Usually it should not be a problem to get insurance for your business even from recognised, big insurance companies. If you need all-round protection, it may also make sense to talk to an insurance broker for advice.
