Legal age to be a tattooist?

The best we can advise on this question is to contact your local council. There doesn’t seem to be a set UK law on this matter. We all know you have to be 18 to have a tattoo but in terms of actually tattooing someone else, or registering as a tattoo artist, it seems there’s no set age but that it does vary between different locations and councils.
